His son, Haroon, who sadly passed away during 2009, an active committee member. The Dive Shop never fail to go out of their way to help us and have been known to rescue some of our over ambitious members when needed. They are always on hand to inspect and maintain moorings in the bay.
Many of our members are also active in The Barbados Game Fishing Association. We're always glad to work together to promote marine activities and get people off land and onto the water.
The story goes that Howard Palmer arrived in Barbados destitute aboard his boat, making landfall at the club. A few years have passed since then and he's gone on to become one of the island's most successful bar and restaurant owners. He is the brains (if not the beauty) behind Dippers. If he's not propping up our bar, you'll find him at The Beach House or The Ship Inn.
And finally, there's Indigo Island. She does the Cruising Club website, and hopes you like it!
