The Barbados Cruising Club announces Barbados’ first ever NORTH U!

NORTH U is the “Education University” of North Sails. North U seminars feature the latest in racing technique presented in a full multi-media format by outstanding instructors. The North U is an ideal opportunity to accelerate your learning and accelerate your boat. Every sailor, no matter what level will learn from this professionally delivered course.
The North U weekend is 20th-21st November, to be held at the Barbados Cruising Club, Aquatic Gap, St Michael.

The instructor is Bill Gladstone. Bill is the author of Performance Racing Trim, Performance Racing Tactics and the North U Cruising and Seamanship workbook. Bill’s racing experience covers the spectrum, including everything from dinghies to Fifties, ponds to oceans, and foredeck to helm. He has finished in the money at Key West Race Week, the SORC, Block Island Race Week, Chicago NOOD, Annapolis to Newport; Chicago to Mackinac, the Annapolis Fall Series, NYYC Race Week, Queen's Cup and the J 29 and J 44 Nationals. Bill's cruising grounds range from the San Juan Islands of the Pacific Northwest to the Caribbean and include the Great Lakes and Eastern Seaboard. "The joy of cruising is also its challenge. You get to do and try everything. The learning never stops!"


Bill has been teaching sailing and racing for over thirty years. Graduates of his seminars number in the thousands. They are winning races in IRC, PHRF, IMS, MORC, and One-Design fleets and cruising with confidence the world over.
